Introducing my new series of inspiration shoots. These shoots will be a personal exploration of light, concepts, movement, and emotion all with an underlying editorial root. I’m hoping they will not only serve as inspiration to me but also to all of you in your own projects, life, and events. As many of you may or may not know I went to college for editorial photography and have carried this background into my weddings and natural kids portraits. Some of you may remember my dear clients (and husband’s cousin) Cary and Christina. They were married at the fabulous St Vincent De Paul and Chicago Illuminating Company last April. We had a wonderful session last week celebrating their newest adventure!! Congrats!!

My Brother and Sister-in-Law (and most adorable niece) are expecting their second princess next month and we couldn’t be more excited!! I did a session with them last week – it was really fun to let loose and try some new things with shooting as well as processing…let me know whatcha think!

Christine and her son Cormick were treated to a photo session with me from their loving mom/grandmother Peggy. I was so happy to capture this special time as their family grows. Their love and excitement was contagious – giving me much inspiration to create these images. Here are a few of my favs:

I have known Jenny since Middle School and although we have lost touch over the past couple of years I couldn’t have been happier to capture her love and excitement during this special time. It was also a great opportunity to meet her husband Mike and pups Dutch!
