Sunday morning was perfect for Alexis and Sean’s engagement session. We took a stroll around the Loop visiting some special spots for them, as well as, some of my favorite “Big City” backdrops. I’m looking forward to shooting with you two again in May – it will be here before we know it!
What’s with everyone getting married on the beach and not bring me along?!?! JUST KIDDING!! I had such a blast with Julie and Mark last weekend. They had a rockin’ reception at Meson Sabika in Naperville. The weather was beautiful, the band was bumpin’, food was delicious, a laid back crowd, and one very happy couple! There were so many wonderful moments, including a very proud “Lady Buehner,” Mark getting the music situated, a personal serenade by Julie’s matron of honor, and can a simple fix of the collar be any sweeter?!?

Carissa and Mark will be tying the knot with their toes nestled in the warm sandy beaches of Florida – so an engagement session in the city was the perfect choice to remember their Chicago engagement. Best wishes to your new family and I hope our paths cross again soon!

Cynthia and Anthony had a special day filled with family, friends, tradition, and lots of love. I must say their ceremony was rockin’ at Calvary Christian Learning Center in Lake Villa. We then ventured off to the Moraine Hills State Park for some fun relaxed portraits amongst the beautiful prairie. The evening concluded with a yummy reception at Round Lake Cultural & Civic Center (catering by: Pear Tree Catering).

Last week I met up with Irene and Joshua for their romantic engagement session. The two chose to shoot around dusk so we could take full advantage of the glistening lights in Grant Park and down Michigan Avenue. It’s not all the time I get to shoot at dusk/evening outside so it was fun for me to try new things. I’ll be looking forward to working with these two again next spring for their intimate wedding at The James.
