What a relaxed, intimate day Irene and Joshua had this past weekend.  It was filled with joyous tears the moment I stepped into the suite at The James and Irene slipped into her dress, topping the look off with an amazing birdcage veil.  We were then off to Old St. Pats for the ceremony followed by portraits around the Art Institute.  After what seemed like the longest walk up the new Modern Wing bridge it was time to kick off the shoes and get back to the James for a little rest before cocktails/reception.  A few shout outs to some of the peeps that made this day so beautiful: Honey Bee Weddings, Wishing Well Florist, MDM Entertainment, Flour, The James.  As usual stay tuned for my next post “Irene+Joshua :: The Details”

As promised here are a few of my favorite details from Alexis and Sean’s beautiful May wedding.

Alexis and Sean had a wonderful wedding day this past Saturday.  We started things off at the Ambassador East where the bridesmaids were literally dancing and singing with excitement!  I may or may not have joined in for a little School House Rock action.  There were many little moments throughout the day, but I think my favorite was the quiet moment I caught directly after the ceremony, at St. Mary’s on the Lake, when Alexis and Sean slipped away as guests were exiting the church.  After the ceremony we headed out to North Avenue beach for some chilly but classically beautiful portraits by the lake.  Thank you everyone for being troopers!!  Just a hop, skip and a jump around the corner we arrived at Germania Place – we were graced with amazing light and a venue that fit Alexis and Sean perfectly.  Some other great vendors that made this day so special: Scarlet Petal, Style Matters DJs, The Ideal Day, Oak Mill Bakery, Sonia Roselli.  Stay tuned for my next post “Alexis + Sean :: The Details”
