Escuse me while I catch up on some much needed blogging!!! I shot with Jill and AJ a few weeks back to celebrate their recent engagement – we had such a blast walking around Navy Pier and Olive Park. These two lovebirds have been dating since they were 13 ….or was it 15….anywho A LONG TIME!! I loved that the shoot brought such a young playful vibe to remember the days when they first met. Best wishes for the two of you!!
Details from Katy and Jon’s classically beautiful wedding day. Shout out to the amazing staff of the Peninsula, Sonia Roselli, Prairie Basket Florist, and High Society. Some of Katy’s details included an heirloom ring, monogramed champagne flutes, flipflop service via Peninsula (love this idea) and a “Chicago” coffee table book for their guestbook.

Katy and Jon lucked out, with rain clouds hovering over us most of the day, there was no rain to be seen! Everyone got ready at the luxe Peninsula, I was happy to be back at the Quigley Center Chapel for another gorgeous ceremony (I’ll be there once more this year – which will make a total of three times this season – I’m gettin’ spoiled!!) We took a quick tour of the loop, dodged some filming for the upcoming Transformers movie (why must they film on Saturdays!!) then back to the Peninsula for cocktails on their amazing outdoor terrace, dinner and LOTS of dancing. There were so many heartfelt moments throughout the day – stay tuned for the details coming soon!!

Katy and Jon had an amazing wedding two weeks ago here in Chicago, but with the two of them living in Dallas it was hard for us to schedule an engagement session. Before I post their wedding teasers – here are a few from their rehearsal – I am just loving this sequence of Katy running out to the cab in the rain sneaking a kiss from Jon on the way!
